Wells Township break-in has police asking for public's help

WELLS TOWNSHIP, MI--   The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a break-in at a Wells Township business. 

Deputies say it happened between Sunday at 5 p.m. and Monday at 7:30 a.m. at LaPalmes Country Corner at the intersection of County Road 557 and County Road 426. A glass patio door in a residence in the back of the store was broken.

The Sheriff’s Office is looking for the public’s help in identifying any suspicious vehicles or people in the area at the time of the break-in. Anyone with information is asked to call 225-8470 or send a message on Facebook.

LaPalmes Country Corner also serves as the post office for the town of Arnold. The FBI and Regional Postal Inspector are assisting in the investigation.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
