UPSET cleans up meth components in Ishpeming

ISHPEMING, MI--   The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team was called in to clean up several meth dump sites in the Ishpeming area Thursday.  

City police found the sites along Deer Lake Road and Carlson Road in Ishpeming Township. 

UPSET detectives encountered three, one-pot meth labs; two HCL generators;  muriatic acid; and Coleman camp fuel.  All components were removed by UPSET certified meth responders and transferred to a secure storage container. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
