UPSET busts suspected meth makers

ISHPEMING, MI--   Three people have been arrested on meth-related charges in the city of Ishpeming.

An investigation by detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team led them to 7th Street, where they found components used to make meth.

A 32-year-old male, 32-year-old female, and 46-year old male were arrested on charges of possession of meth components and conspiracy to manufacture meth.  They remain lodged in the Marquette County Jail, pending arraignment.

UPSET—which is the only DEA-approved meth response team in the U.P.—collected all hazardous materials found at the scene.

The Ishpeming Police Department and Marquette County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the investigation.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
