UPSET busts suspected drug dealer

SAULT STE. MARIE, MI--   The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team has apprehended a Detroit man on drug charges in Sault Ste. Marie.  

Last Thursday detectives arrested the 30-year-old after they determined he was selling heroin, cocaine, prescription pills, and marijuana in the area.  The street value of the drugs is estimated to be more than $5,000. 

The suspect was lodged in the Chippewa County jail for delivery of heroin, delivery of cocaine, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of prescription narcotics, and maintaining a drug vehicle.

UPSET was assisted by troopers from the Sault Ste. Marie Post.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
