State Police from the St. Ignace Post say it happened Tuesday around 7 p.m. on Sandtown Road in Portage Township. Preliminary investigation shows that a motorcycle driven by a 26-year-old Gould City man collided with a vehicle making a left turn into a driveway.

The passenger on the motorcycle—a 32-year-old Gould City woman—was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver was taken to Helen Newberry Joy Hospital with critical injuries, then airlifted to UPHS Marquette for treatment. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
