UPDATE: Ishpeming Police say the Negaunee driver was David Paul Barto, 73. The other driver involved in the crash has been identified as Gabriel John Lamer, 19, of downstate Wyoming.

ISHPEMING, MI-- A Negaunee man was killed in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Ishpeming Tuesday.
City Police say it happened just before 1 p.m. on US-41 West at the entrance to Hilltop RV. Preliminary investigation indicates a Honda driven by a 73-year-old Negaunee man pulled out of the Hilltop parking lot and into the path of a westbound Dodge driven by a 19-year-old downstate Wyoming man.
The older man was pronounced dead at the scene. The 19-year-old sought his own treatment for minor injuries.
The highway was shut down between the roundabout to Lakeshore Drive for about two-and-a-half hours. Traffic was re-routed through the city of Ishpeming.
The accident remains under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the crash and hasn’t yet talked to officers is asked to call Ishpeming Police at 486-4416.
