ISHPEMING, MI--   Ishpeming Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a resident charged with a felony and three misdemeanors.

Officers are looking for Kurt Ochoa, 49, following a Saturday night incident on the 300 block of North 6th Street. Police were called for a domestic dispute. As they walked up the driveway they said Ochoa got into his vehicle, ignored officers’ commands to stop, and fled the scene through a neighbor’s yard. The vehicle was later found abandoned in the woods at the end of New York Street.

Ishpeming officers searched the area with the help of Michigan State Police and a K-9 team, Negaunee Police, and sheriff’s deputies.

Ochoa is charged with resisting/obstructing a police officer, possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving, and malicious destruction of property.
