Two semis collide in Negaunee Township

NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP, MI--   A Bark River man has been cited in an accident involving two semis in Negaunee Township.

Troopers from the Negaunee Post say Thursday around 11:50 a.m. ValeriySemenov, 54, of Chicago was driving a Freightliner flatbed semi-tractor on M-35 at US-41.  Because of construction on the highway Semenov was directed to turn right and drive east on US-41, but when he turned Semenov struck another semi-tractor driven by Robert Shriber, 65, of Bark River that had traveled up on the right side of his vehicle.  The right side of Semenov’s trailer hit the left front corner of Shriber’s semi.

No injuries were reported.

Shriber was ticketed for improper lane use.
