Two injured in motorcycle crash

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI--   Two people are recovering, following a motorcycle accident in Marquette Township. 

State Police from the Negaunee Post responded Friday night to the area of 331 County Road 550.  They say Christopher Keller, 25, of Marquette was northbound on a motorcycle when he lost control.  The bike ran off the road and into the ditch.

Keller and his passenger, Connor Polkinghorne, 23, of Ishpeming, were thrown from the motorcycle.   Both were taken to U.P. Health System Marquette for treatment of serious injuries. 

The crash remains under investigation. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
