Suspect jailed for trying to use stolen credit card at gas stations

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Marquette man has been arrested for trying to use a stolen credit card.

City Police says Darrell Clark, 39, was apprehended Monday for illegal use of a financial transaction device.  It stems from an investigation into a wallet stolen from a vehicle in North Marquette.

Clark allegedly tried to use a credit card in the wallet at numerous gas stations in the area.  Surveillance footage allowed police to develop a suspect, who was later identified as Clark.

The charge is punishable by up to four years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
