Delta County, MI - Gladstone State Police responded to two separate crashes Wednesday. Troopers say the first crash happened at about 3:30pm on a trail near M-69 and ‘D’ Road near Bark River. A minor driving a motorcycle on the trail failed to stop when entering a roadway, striking a vehicle. The driver, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to OSF-St. Francis Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries… and then transported to UPHS-Marquette for further treatment. The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the accident.
The second crash occurred at approximately 8:00 pm when a southbound vehicle was driven in the northbound lane of US-2/41 and M-35 just south of the Escanaba River Bridge construction zone. Three vehicles were involved in a collision. All parties were treated and released at OSF Hospital. The driver of the southbound vehicle was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated. The name of the driver will be withheld pending arraignment.
