BREITUNG TOWNSHIP, MI--   A Norway woman has been injured in a single-vehicle accident in

State Police from the Iron Mountain Post say Monday around 10 a.m. the 34-year-old woman was on US-2 near M-95 and Pine Mountain Road in Breitung Township when her vehicle left the roadway.  It slid through a grass embankment and hit a utility pole, then reentered the highway.  The driver turned onto Pine Mountain Road and hit a Dickinson County Road Commission vehicle and mobile caution light trailer.  She then left the scene.

The woman was later located at River’s Bend Park and taken to Dickinson County hospital.

Troopers say alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the accident.  The woman’s name will not be released while the case is under investigation.
