State ornament for sale

michigan.gov

LANSING, MI (AP)--    Michigan's official holiday ornament celebrating the state Capitol building is on sale, with proceeds going to help the blind.

The Michigan Bureau of Services for Blind Persons recently announced that limited-edition ornaments are on sale for $20. The bureau is part of state government.

The ornaments can be bought inside the Capitol and at various state offices in Lansing and Detroit. The state ornament was previously sold by the Friends of the Capitol organization starting in 2003.

Proceeds will be used for training programs such as one that helps blind citizens become employed.
