Snow wreaking havoc on Marquette County travel

From the Michigan State Police:

ROAD CLOSURE

M-28 between Munising and Kawbawgam Road in Chocolay Township will close at approximately 1:30 p.m. Friday.  Heavy lake-effect blowing snow is causing zero visibility.

The alternate route is M-94 between Munising and US-41 South in Skandia Township.

TRAVEL ADVISORY

US-41 between Marquette and Harvey is experiencing frequent zero visibility white-outs due to heavy lake-effect blowing snow. 

The alternate route of M-553 to County Road 480 is recommended.
