Sheriff's deputies arrest Gwinn man after seeing meth components in his home

GWINN, MI--   A Gwinn man was arrested Friday after police found meth components in his residence.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched around 7:45 a.m. to a house on M-553 on a report of a domestic violence incident. When officers arrived the homeowner said there was no one else in the house, but officers advised the man they needed to check.

During a search of the residence deputies observed components used to make meth. They cleared the trailer and called UPSET to remove the hazardous materials.

The man was arrested and lodged in the Marquette County Jail on unrelated charges.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
