CHIPPEWA COUNTY, MI-- Seventeen people have been arrested in connection with a drug investigation in Chippewa County.
The Tri-County Drug Enforcement Team, or Tri-DENT, worked with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Department and the Sheriff’s Office on multiple investigations in the area.
Sixteen suspects face 23 counts of delivery of morphine, seven counts of delivery of Suboxone, 11 counts of maintaining a drug house, and two counts of felony drugs within a school zone.
A 17th suspect was arrested for harboring a fugitive.
Officials say additional arrests are likely.
