SANDS TOWNSHIP, MI-- A Sands Township man has been arrested for possibly shooting at livestock.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office was called Wednesday around 11:40 p.m. to a residence on Yelle Road on a report of a domestic situation. A disorderly man was on the caller’s property and possibly discharging a firearm at her livestock.
Responding officers took the man into custody without incident. After further investigation a weapon was recovered on the property. No livestock were found to be harmed.
The 34-year-old suspect was charged with operating while impaired, reckless use of a firearm, and possession of a firearm while intoxicated. He remains lodged at the Marquette County Jail, pending arraignment.
