Ruth Johnson to hold meetings in the U.P.

MARQUETTE, MI--   Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson will hold town hall meetings and visit branch offices during a tour of the U.P. Wednesday.  

Johnson says her visit is part of her ongoing efforts to improve customer service and collect input and suggestions from staff and constituents.  She’s focusing on better service for veterans and military personnel, as well as the expansion of technology and shortened wait times.

The Secretary of State will also talk about Michigan’s Organ Donor Registry.  More than 1.4 million people have signed up to become an organ donor in the past two years.

The Secretary of State’s stops Wednesday, April 15 are as follows:

9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
