MARQUETTE, MI-- Reconstruction work on Fifth Street in Marquette starts Monday.
The portion between Spring Street and Baraga Avenue will be closed beginning at 7 a.m. for Phase I of the project. It’s the first of two phases and is expected to last three weeks.
Traffic will be detoured and the Fifth Street entrance to City Hall will be closed. Traffic can access City Hall by the Baraga Avenue entrance.
There will be a temporary set up to allow two-way traffic. Drivers are advised to use caution when traveling through the area.
