MARQUETTE, MI-- The road to Big Bay will be filled with runners this weekend, and officials want motorists to use caution when traveling County Road 550.
Sponsored by the Noquemanon Trail Network, the Big Bay Relay starts Saturday at 8 a.m. in Marquette. Thirty, five-person teams will run along the side of the road. Race in Progress signs will be posted along the way.
Officials say five junior race teams will join the fray Saturday, which marks the race’s 38th year.
All runners will wear a reflective strap so they can be easily seen by motorists.
