Pretrial hearing set for Baraga man

BARAGA, MI (WNMU) – A pretrial hearing will be scheduled for a Baraga man charged with possessing morphine.

The judge in the case entered a not guilty plea for Paul Aubin, who stood mute Friday on a charge of possession of less than 50 grams of morphine.

He faces up to 20 years in prison and a $25,000 fine, if convicted.

Aubin remains lodged in the Baraga County Jail on a $2,500 bond. A pretrial hearing will be set within the next 30 days.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
