The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office says Thursday around 2 a.m. deputies made contact with Travis Kevin Kuopus and arrested him without incident.

Kuopus was wanted on several warrants and was believed to be a threat to himself and others.  Police say he’d been eluding them for several weeks.

Kuopus remains lodged in the Houghton County Jail.
