Peters on trial for murder in Bessemer

BESSEMER, MI--   Trial continues this week in Gogebic County for a Bessemer man charged in the death of his 79-year-old wife last year.  

Kenneth Wayne Peters, 50, is charged with first- and second-degree murder and second-degree abuse of a vulnerable adult.

Ethel Grzena Peters was last seen August 3 in Bessemer.  Her body was found ten days later in Watersmeet Township.

Trial began last Tuesday in Gogebic County Circuit Court. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
