Ontonagon man arrested for larceny and forgery

  Gladstone, MI - An Ontonagon man has been arrested on larceny and fraud charges relating to an uncompleted construction job. State Police from the Gladstone post say 46-year old Bruce Michael Sever is suspected of accepting money for a construction job he did not complete in the City of Gladstone… and also forging and cashing checks from the victim’s account. He was arrested following a two day search by police and state troopers from several U-P agencies. UPSET detectives finally located Sever at a residence in Gwinn. He is charged with larceny by false pretense… 2 counts of forgery…. and larceny from a building less the $20,000. If convicted, he faces up to 23-years in prison. He was arraigned today in 94th District Court in Delta County and is being held on a $10,000 bond.
