Ontonagon bust results in $30,000 in drugs

ONTONAGON, MI--   The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team conducted a drug bust in the village of Ontonagon last week. 

On Friday UPSET executed a search warrant at a residence on Pennsylvania Avenue. Detectives seized more than 8 ounces of meth, more than $3,000 in cash, and a loaded handgun. They say the drugs have an estimated street value of more than $30,000.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The investigation continues, and the case is being reviewed by the Ontonagon County Prosecutor’s Office.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
