Officials release the identities of people in Negaunee Township crash

NEGAUNEE TOWNSHIP, MI--   Police have released the names of those involved in a Sunday crash in Negaunee Township.

It happened on US-41 near Brebner Road.

Troopers from the Negaunee Post say the first vehicle—a Toyota Corolla—was driven by a 15-year-old female from Marquette. She was not injured, but her 44-year-old passenger, Stephen King of Marquette, was taken to UPHS-Marquette for treatment.

The Corolla hit a Jeep Liberty driven by Aubri Romback, 21, of Negaunee. She did not sustain any injuries.

The Corolla then struck the parked Jeep Patriot, flipped over, and hit Gavin Locke, 26, of Negaunee, who was standing in front of the vehicle. Locke was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No citations have been issued in the accident.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
