Norway man headed to Marquette court for breaking into vehicles

MARQUETTE, MI--    A probable cause hearing has been set for a Norway man accused of breaking into Marquette-area vehicles.

Last week Marquette police and NMU Public Safety officers arrested Eric Mohler, 23.  He’s was arraigned on two counts of larceny from a motor vehicle, three counts of malicious destruction of property less than $200, and a misdemeanor count of larceny less than $200.

The arrest stems from a joint investigation after numerous vehicles in Marquette were broken into and damaged in January and February of this year.  Car stereos, CDs, and other electronics were some of the items stolen from the vehicles.

A probable cause hearing is set for January 3, and a preliminary exam for January 17 in Marquette County District Court.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
