MARQUETTE, MI-- Skiers from around the country are getting ready for this weekend’s Noquemanon Ski Marathon.
The 50K race starts Saturday morning at the Al Quaal Recreation Area in Ishpeming, winds through wooded terrain and finishes at the Superior Dome in Marquette. The Half Noque begins at County Road 510 and also ends at the dome.
Racers will contend with trail elevations as high as 1,642 feet down to 600 feet.
The event also includes the Junior Noque, snowshoeing, skijoring, snow biking, and adaptive ski.
