MARQUETTE, MI--   Locations have been announced for the presentations of four finalists vying for the presidency of Northern Michigan University.

The NMU Presidential Search Advisory Committee narrowed the pool of 54 applicants down to ten, then conducted remote interviews to select the final four.

Public forums will let the candidates explain why they want the top post and how they’ll match the university’s needs.

The first three forums will be held in the Marquette/Nicolet Rooms of the University Center.

Tuesday, April 1 features Cynthia Pemberton, provost and vice president for academic affairs and professor of education at Dickinson State University.

Thursday, April 3 Robert Ackerman will speak.  He is a professor of law and former dean at Wayne State University Law School in Detroit.

On Tuesday, April 8 Fritz Erickson, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, will hold a presentation.

Thursday, April 10 features the final candidate in the Peter White Lounge of the University Center.  Greg Cant is founding dean of the Offutt School of Business and Robert J. Johnson chair in economics and business administration at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.

All presentations start at 4 p.m.  For more information, go to www.nmu.edu/presidentialsearch.
