Nisula man charged with writing bad checks

ONTONAGON, MI--   An Ontonagon County man is jailed for writing checks without sufficient funds.  Sheriff’s deputies say the 41-year-old Nisula man was arrested Friday on an eight-count warrant for non-sufficient funds and writing checks on no accounts.  

He is currently serving a 60-day sentence for a prior NSF charge. 

The suspect remains lodged in the Ontonagon County Jail, pending arraignment.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
