New UPHS Marquette leader announced

MARQUETTE, MI--   UP Health System Marquette has a new chief executive officer.

UPHS Market President James Bogan says Brian Sinotte, FACHE, has been appointed to the top post, effective August 15.  Sinotte comes to Marquette from Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson, NC, where he’s served as CEO since February of 2015.

“We are excited to welcome Brian to the Upper Peninsula,” Bogan says. “He is a strong and dynamic leader with more than a decade of healthcare management and operational leadership experience. We are confident that he is the right person to fill this important leadership position and guide the hospital into the future.”

Prior to MPMC, Sinotte served as CEO of MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue South, IL.  He also held numerous other leadership positions at hospitals in Indiana, Virginia and Minnesota.

Sinotte replaces Trent Crable, who stepped down as CEO earlier this month.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
