HOUGHTON, MI-- The Michigan Tech Board of Trustees has negotiated a five-year contract with the university’s newly elected president.
Beginning July 1 Dr. Richard Koubek’s salary will be $450,000 a year and he will be named a tenured professor. An at risk portion of his compensation is set up to $25,000, with annual performance objectives established by the board of trustees.
Koubek will also be granted a housing and car allowance and an employee benefit package, similar to the current president.
