Negaunee and Marquette welcome new officials

MARQUETTE, MI--   New officials are settling into their posts in Negaunee and Marquette.

Nate Heffron is Negaunee’s new City Manager. He was most recently Bayard, Nebraska’s City Clerk. Negaunee was without a city manager for nearly ten months until Heffron’s contract was approved in December.

And the Marquette City Commission has appointed Paul Schloegel to the seat that had belonged to Tom Baldini. He was with the City Planning Commission and a representative to the Board of Zoning Appeals. Schloegel was appointed to the Commission Monday night.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
