Multiple charges brought against man stopped for speeding in Gogebic County

WAKEFIELD, MI--   A Wisconsin man has been arrested on a felony warrant after he was stopped for a traffic violation in Wakefield.   

State Police stopped Anthony Mrdjenovich, 20, of Ashland driving 73 mph in a 55 mph zone on M-38 near Johnson Road on September 25.  Investigation revealed Mrdjenovich had a suspended license in Michigan and an expired license in Wisconsin.  Troopers found he had a misdemeanor warrant out of downstate Coldwater for failure to appear and a felony warrant out of Anderson County, Texas for aggravated robbery.  A gas station clerk was shot in the incident and later died.

Police also discovered the vehicle was reported stolen from the Dulles Airport Police Department out of Dulles, Virginia.

Mrdjenovich remains lodged in the Gogebic County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, driving while license suspended, and the two warrants.
