Missing angler found in Ottawa National Forest

GOGEBIC COUNTY, MI--   An angler reported missing in Gogebic County has been found. 

Tuesday around 5:20 p.m. the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a 52-year-old Presque Isle, Wisconsin man lost while fishing in the Ottawa National Forest. Within an hour of deputies arriving at the scene the man was located south of Forest Service Road 8100 with no injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Gogebic County Search and Rescue Team. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
