MI Senate recognizes ORV riders

LANSING, MI--   The state Senate has adopted a resolution to establish June 10th of this year as ORV Rider Recognition Day in Michigan.

Senator Tom Casperson, who sponsored the resolution, says the Senate recognizes the importance of off-road recreation and the economic impact it has. He hopes ORV Rider Recognition Day helps increase awareness for safety, the economic value of the sport, and environmentally friendly practices for riders, as well.

Michigan has 3,700 miles of designated off-road vehicle trails that are used by more than 220,000 licensed riders.
