MARQUETTE, MI--   Two Marquette residents have been sentenced in federal court on meth charges.

Leanna Horton and Christopher Brow were arrested as part of a drug sweep in Skandia and Chocolay Townships in September.  Officials say they started a fire in a Birch Grove Mobile Home Community trailer while producing meth.  Both were charged with conspiracy to manufacture meth and possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine.

Horton was sentenced in Marquette Federal Court to 14 years, 7 months in a federal prison.  Brow was given almost 12 years in prison.

Both will also have to pay restitution to replace the trailer.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
