MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI--   The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team is conducting an investigation into the production of meth in Marquette Township.

A 45-year-old township man was arrested two weeks ago and on Monday detectives executed a search warrant at 2422 Huron Street.  A search of the residence and surrounding area uncovered components used to make meth and hazardous waste resulting from the cooking process.

All the components and waste were removed by certified meth responders and taken to a secure storage container.

No names have been released.

The investigation continues.

Marquette City Police and the Marquette Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
