Marquette wins USA Today contest

MARQUETTE, MI--   The City of Marquette has been named the Top Small Town for Adventure in USA Today’s 10 Best Reader’s Choice contest.

The recognition is based on public voting that took place through USA Today. The contest pool contained 20 towns, all with a population fewer than 25,000, but big on adventure. Marquette topped well-known destinations like Sedona, Arizona and Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

The 10 Best site lauds Marquette County’s 150 miles of singletrack, 83 miles of Lake Superior shoreline, and 77 waterfalls.
