Marquette Area Blues Fest this weekend

MARQUETTE, MI--   Friday marks the first of three blues-filled days in Marquette.

The 13th Annual Marquette Area Blues Fest hits the stage at Mattson Lower Harbor Park at 6 p.m. with free entry to the night’s entertainment.  Gates open at 5 p.m. 

Acts on Saturday include Reverend Robert, The Ghost Town Blues Band and Victor Wainwright & the WildRoots. On Sunday listen to Hank Mowery & the Hawktones, The Kinsey Report and Samantha Fish.

Tickets are needed for Saturday and Sunday.  The gates open at noon and music starts at 1 p.m.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
