MARQUETTE, MI-- Teachers in the Marquette Area Public Schools district are holding a town hall meeting to talk about their negotiations with MAPS administration.
The teachers are heading into a second year of working without a contract. They say they want to give their perspective of the negotiation process and keep the public informed.
Blocks to reaching a contract include health care, wage increases, and class sizes.
District officials say falling enrollment means less money from the state to operate.
The town hall takes place Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Ramada Inn of Marquette.
