IRON MOUNTAIN, MI--   A Columbus, Ohio man has been bound over to circuit court for hiding in The Drug Store in Iron Mountain until it closed, then stealing drugs.

Lavon Christian, 30, was arrested the evening of November 16 after an alarm was triggered in the pharmacy. He’s charged with breaking and entering—entry without breaking with intent, possession of fentanyl, possession of buprenorphine, and two counts of resisting and obstructing an officer.

Christian waived his preliminary hearing last week. He’s set to be arraigned December 18 in Dickinson County Circuit Court.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
