MARQUETTE, MI--   A downstate man is jailed, following a single-vehicle accident in Powell Township.

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened Sunday around 1:55 p.m. on County Road KK.  Deputies say the 60-year-old Midland man was the only occupant of a vehicle that left the roadway and struck several trees.

The driver was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of his injuries, then released.  He’s currently lodged in the Marquette County Jail for operating while intoxicated.

Officials say the crash remains under investigation.
