Man dies in ORV crash

DOYLE TOWNSHIP, MI--   A Gulliver man has been killed in an off-road-vehicle accident. 

State Police from the St. Ignace Post say the crash happened Tuesday around 8 p.m. in Doyle Township.  William Pawley, 75, was on a trail on private land when his ORV overturned.  Pawley wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time and suffered fatal injuries.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident, which remains under investigation. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
