Man charged in Negaunee stabbing case

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Marquette man has been charged in connection with a stabbing incident in Negaunee last month. 

The Negaunee Police Department says it happened December 10. Tyler Yelle, 31, is charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery.

He remains lodged in the Marquette County Jail on a $100,000 cash/surety bond.

The male victim received medical treatment and is expected to make a full recovery. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
