Man charged with Marquette home invasion

MARQUETTE, MI--   Marquette Police have identified a suspect in a house break-in earlier this month.

On August 12 around 4:45 a.m. the residents of 513 Wright Street awoke to someone in their home.  The subject fled and no one was injured.

Police discovered the suspect had entered through an unlocked door and taken a television, computer, radio, and other items. 

Investigation led to the arrest of Sean David McNamara, 28, who was charged with home invasion.  He remains lodged in the Marquette County Jail on a $50,000 bond. 

Home invasion is punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $5,000 fine. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
