Man arrested for Marquette-area home invasions

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Marquette man is jailed for breaking into area houses. 

City Police arrested Andrew Bass, 22, Wednesday on three counts of first-degree home invasion and three counts of second-degree home invasion.

The arrest comes after an investigation into the break-ins on or around July 10 of numerous homes in the Sandstone Drive area in South Marquette. Among the items stolen were money and portable solar panels.

Bass is lodged in the Marquette County Jail on a bond of $10,000 for each of the six counts.

Each first degree charge is punishable by up to 20 years and each second degree charge by 15 years in prison. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
