Mackinac County man pleads in fatal motorcycle crash case

ST. IGNACE, MI-- A Curtis man has pleaded guilty in connection with a fatal motorcycle crash last May.

Andrew Loehr, 26, and a passenger were riding a motorcycle down Sandtown Road in Portage Township when he hit a vehicle. His passenger, Stephanie Maynard, 32, of Gould City, was killed in the crash.

Loehr was charged with operating while intoxicated, causing death and being a habitual offender, 3^rd offense. He pleaded guilty Monday to operating while intoxicated, causing death.

Sentencing is set for December 8 in Mackinac County Circuit Court.
