MARQUETTE, MI-- Reconstruction of a portion of M-553 in Marquette County is set to begin Wednesday.
The Michigan Department of Transportation says it’s investing $3.2 million to reconstruct a mile of the highway and realign curves from County Road NR to the Carp River.
The project will require daytime lane closures and flag control. Officials estimate the work will be completed in late October.
