MARQUETTE, MI-- The Upper Peninsula Luge Club is holding several clinics in the Central U.P. to introduce the sport to young people.
The club will supply a portable luge ramp, wheeled sleds, and safety equipment. Coaches will show participants the proper technique of artificial track sliding and natural luge techniques used at the track in Negaunee.
The clinics are being held:
- July 29, 10-am - 4 pm, Marquette Blueberry Fest
- July 30, 10 am - 4 pm, Baraga State Park
- August 20, 10 am - 4 pm, Michigamme State Park
- August 27, 11 am - 5 pm, Marquette Harbor Fest
